Data Collection via SmartCard
and Modem Technologies

Patient compliance data from most Respironics devices can be transferred to an Encore Compliance Management System via a SmartCard or wired modem*.

Using a Wired Modem (with new web-based EncoreAnywhere)

Patient compliance data is uploaded to the secure, HIPPA-compliant Encore Data Center using the device's integrated wired modem* and a local phone line. *EncoreAnywhere only

Once uploaded, patient compliance data can be viewed, assessed and monitored simultaneously by the entire care team at EncoreAnywhere.com. If Rx settings or other changes are made, EncoreAnywhere automatically communicates them back to the patient's device using the integrated wired modem.

Using a SmartCard and USB Reader

Patient compliance data is recorded onto the device's SmartCard.

Patient compliance data on the SmartCard is then uploaded into desktop-based EncorePro or web-based EncoreAnywhere. If Rx settings or other changes are made, Encore records them onto the SmartCard which, when re-inserted into the patient's device, automatically applies the changes.
